“The Smart Trail Connection”


   Four part 12 weeks - 12 Level program with 62 skills focusing on improving your horse’s trail riding performance, by building communication and confidence from basic in-hand - advance riding skills on and off Local Trails
    This program is about “Trail Ability” not breed or riding discipline. All horses over 5 years of age, currently under saddle are welcome. Saddles and Bridles are required. HELMETS are strongly suggested for all adult riders; Children under 18 must wear helmets and be accompanied by parents.
Liability releases must be signed to participate.

    One Clinic per weekend - 2 hours+, riders will be instructed on each level’s skills and given individualized help as needed, with group discussions about what makes each skill important to trail riding, then working independently with new techniques riders will sign off on those skills during the next following clinic.
Times for clinic and signoffs will vary based on clinic size and participation per level and holidays.

The program will be held on 12 Saturdays
Location will be at Irvine Regional Park near the horse water trough.

Costs: Sign up $100.00 per horse (non refundable) plus $25.00 per clinic

What you will receive:
1.Proven Trail riding skills, communication and confidence building techniques from a 15 year National and Regional award winning Competitive Trail Rider, 20 years pro-training experience with 35 years as a horse owner at a fraction of regular monthly training fees. (normally $1200.00)
2.An informational packet (work at your own rate) with all 12 levels, full description of each skill and how to navigate and work through each.  
3.A Personalized “Certificate of Merit” (similar to breed registry) for each horse at the end of the program.
4.An “Achievement” stamp for each level completed placed on the back of the certificate and copy of the signed off skills. (Video CD’s will be accepted for those missing a clinic/signoff)
5.A Brass Completion Halter Plate Patch “The Smart Trail Connection Merit of Achievement” upon completion of the entire program.
