The Cornerstone of my Equestrian Life and Passion:

In 1970 at age 12 my life changed forever when after a lot of persistence nagging, begging and pleading my mom took her at that time very precious tax refund check and bought me my first horse. Domingo (which means Sunday) was a broke to death plain wrap running quarter gelding purchased for the gigantic sum of $400.00 with barely enough money left for boarding, a bridle, halter and bareback pad. Mom's thoughts were he would be a good babysitter and keep me out of trouble, and with little money for showing I grew to love long hours on the trail and working for lessons with the local stable trainer. Domingo was just what my mom had hoped for all the way through my late teens Bless him! and was the leading factor in my life's passion, training recreational trail horses. So here I am 38 years later with a barn of 40+ horses, my fantastic assistant Lisa Kunzman who is like a daughter to me, and the best clients anyone could ask for. My Mom's unselfish act that day was the most important in my life and I will never be able to thank her enough for teaching me that "NO" was never the issue, that the glass was always half full, and that fairness, honesty and "Say It Like It is..."  would always be the right way to walk through life... please see her memorial website @ www.rememberinglj.com
